Huzhou City, the first "zero carbon index" in the country, set the standard for energy conservation and carbon reduction of public buildings

Recently, the reporter learned from the State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company that in order to improve the accuracy of carbon emission measurement of public buildings in the city and better improve the level of energy conservation and carbon reduction of public buildings, our city initiated the "zero carbon index" in the country, relying on the power energy big data platform, to analyze and calculate the carbon emission level of public buildings, design a scientific and reasonable quantitative rating system, build a new standard, and help realize the overall efficient and green operation of public buildings.

In recent years, our city has actively explored and innovated in key areas such as energy, industry and transportation, and promoted a series of "double carbon" work. With the acceleration of urbanization and the rapid development of the tertiary industry, public buildings have become the key targets of carbon reduction, and the "greening" of large carbon emission households is imminent.

"Electric energy is the most important type of energy used in public buildings. Through innovative research and development of the 'zero carbon index', we have connected the 'electricity energy carbon' data chain to provide an effective basis for government departments to carry out energy efficiency management in the construction industry." Xu Jun, head of the marketing department of the State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company, said that the 'zero carbon index' of public buildings integrates the energy consumption data of electricity, gas and heat consumption of each public building, Converted into carbon emissions, it is subdivided into 8 categories, including office buildings, commercial complexes and cultural tourism buildings, and then classified and rated.

It is reported that the "zero carbon index" of public buildings will be released annually and dynamically calibrated quarterly. According to preliminary calculation, it is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 700000 tons annually after its promotion in Huzhou. At present, the Municipal Construction Bureau, State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company and Huzhou Digital Group have jointly carried out a "zero carbon index" evaluation on 286 public buildings in the city, of which 52 are Grade 4 high carbon buildings. According to the rating results, the State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company has set up a zero-carbon service team to provide customers with customized "power supply+energy efficiency" services such as building renovation and air-conditioning load control management.

It is reported that the State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company will work with the Municipal Construction Bureau and Huzhou Digital Group to build a building carbon emission benchmarking, publicity and management mechanism based on the "zero carbon index", create a digital and intelligent monitoring system for building energy consumption, expand the application of evaluation results in carbon emission budget management, green finance, green electricity trading and other scenarios, maximize the zero carbon supply of building energy, and meet the energy saving and carbon reduction demand of the construction industry in all dimensions, It provides precise support for Huzhou to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings and promote the low-carbon digital development of the construction industry.
