The establishment conference of the low-carbon smart building industry technology innovation strategic alliance was held

On May 25, 2023, the establishment conference of the Low Carbon Smart Building Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and the Building Low Carbon Smart Integration Innovation Summit Forum were successfully held in Beijing. The alliance was jointly initiated and established by 23 units, including Tsinghua Tongheng Planning and Design Institute, China Architecture Design and Research Institute, China Electronics Engineering Design Institute, China Construction Technology Group, Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and others.

It is reported that the goal of the alliance is to establish a scientific industry university research and application service system, connect the entire low-carbon construction industry chain, and activate the industrial market. The alliance will establish an open and self-discipline development mechanism, absorb advantageous technologies and resources, regulate market competition behavior, and promote the orderly and effective operation of the industrial chain. At the same time, Tsinghua Tongheng Planning and Design Research Institute will leverage its innovative advantages in the construction industry, work together with various initiating units to build a harmonious cooperation, sharing and win-win situation, and promote the growth of the alliance.

On site, appointment letters were also issued to the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Alliance Expert Advisory Committee, as well as to the Alliance's executive director units, director units, and Alliance Secretariat.

At the subsequent Summit Forum on Building Low Carbon Smart Integration Innovation, Wang Qingqin, Chairman of the Alliance Expert Advisory Committee, Vice General Manager of China Academy of Building Sciences Co., Ltd., and Director of the National Building Engineering Technology Research Center, delivered an academic report titled "Carbon Reduction of Green Buildings in the Whole Life Cycle". Li Congxiao, Vice Chairman of the Alliance Expert Advisory Committee and Deputy Director of the Double Carbon Office of China State Construction Corporation, and Lin Borong, Vice Dean of the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University, respectively published academic reports online titled "Green Construction and Carbon Emissions" and "Methods and Cases of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Technology Application in the HVAC Field".

After the summit forum, the first working meeting of the first council of the alliance was held. Secretary General Li Jinqiu of the alliance secretariat gave a detailed introduction on the alliance's joint research, industry research, standard development, demonstration bases, and brand construction tasks. The council and expert advisory committee had a heated discussion on the development strategy, model, scale, and specific work content of the alliance.

The establishment of the low-carbon smart building industry technology innovation strategic alliance will establish effective technology, product, and commercial exchange and cooperation platforms for member units. At the same time, this is also a milestone in the development of low-carbon smart building industry. The alliance will integrate industrial technology innovation resources, guide the healthy development of low-carbon smart buildings in China, comprehensively enhance the technological innovation capacity of the construction industry in China, and promote the sustainable development of the construction industry in China.
