In order to practice the General Secretary's thought of ecological civilization, implement the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and further promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and Germany in the field of sustainable development and green development, the first meeting on Joint Promotion of Green Development between China and Germany (Gendao) was held in Qingdao Free Trade Zone and Sino-German Ecological Park on October 21.

Note: This conference was held in Qingdao Hongshi Showview Hotel, which is not only the largest passive eco-hotel in Asia, but also uses only one-tenth of the energy of traditional hotels. With the theme of "China-Germany Cooperation, Green Win-win", the conference invited more than 30 experts from China and Germany, including Academician Cui Kai and Academician Wu Zhiqiang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wolfgang Fester of the German Passive House Institute and Mr. Klaus Schlapner, former head coach of the Chinese football team. In addition, more than 100 well-known Chinese and German enterprises attended the conference. The conference focused on the three major areas of green production, green living and ecological environment, and fully discussed the experience and future trend of green and low-carbon development, as well as the development direction of China-Germany cooperation in the field of sustainable development.
