What is the future urban community like? The future city under construction in the Sino German Ecological Park may provide a "low-carbon" answer. At present, the construction site of the Sino German Future City project is in full swing. As an important unit of industry city integration, the Future City project is led by academicians and experts, with the full participation of a national design team. It applies 100% passive housing technology and three-star green building standards, and the annual total runoff control rate of Sponge City reaches 80%. It aims to become a "breathing low-carbon urban area" that applies renewable and clean energy, and a demonstration model for high-quality urban construction 2.0 in the future.

Build livable, resilient, and smart cities. From the Sino German Future City, we may see a new landscape of China's future cities. From the passive housing technology center to the construction of the Sino German Future City, the Sino German Ecological Park has always adhered to the concept of green and sustainable development, leading the exploration of carbon reduction in urban construction, and promoting low-carbon new models to the whole country.

The magic of a window, the precision of a wall

Located in the Passive Housing Technology Center of the Sino German Ecological Park, the comfortable temperature makes people feel like spring all year round here. The landmark building in this park contains the elements: the temperature is maintained at 20 ℃ -26 ℃ all year round, the humidity is controlled at 40% -60%, and the energy efficiency rate reaches over 90%

This "pebble shaped" building with a white main tone, with a total area of 13768.6 square meters, has 5 floors above ground, 1 half underground, and 1 underground, seamlessly integrated with the surrounding scenery. As a model of passive ultra-low energy buildings, the Passive Housing Technology Center has engraved energy conservation and carbon reduction in the genes of design and construction. In terms of building insulation, in order to prevent heat loss caused by the traditional "cold and hot bridge" structure in buildings, the designer has created "bridge breaking insulation technology" such as partition balcony structural plates and non thermal bridge wall sleeves, which reduces building energy consumption by attenuating the cold and hot bridge.

In addition, the Passive Room Technology Center also adopts a fully automatic external shading system, mainly to reduce the solar radiation heat gain from the transparent outer enclosure structure in summer to reduce building energy consumption. In this way, passive rooms can truly achieve warm winter and cool summer without using conventional air conditioning and heating, with an energy saving rate of over 90%, far exceeding the "domestic standard".

How to achieve these carbon reduction results? The tip of the iceberg was unveiled in the display area on the first floor of the Passive Room Technology Center.

In front of the 'passive window experience box', the air tightness, noise reduction, and thermal insulation displayed by a window are amazing. Real time monitoring data shows that the difference in noise decibels between the inside and outside of the box can reach 29, lightning flashes and thunders "outside the window", and there is almost no audible sound inside the window.

In the demonstration of passive ultra-low energy buildings, a wall was dissected. Originally thought that the walls of the building were only made of reinforced concrete; The wall here is divided into many layers, including waterproof breathable film/waterproof air barrier film, first layer of polystyrene board, bonding mortar, second layer of polystyrene board, bridge breaking anchor bolt, fiberglass mesh cloth, plastering mortar, exterior decoration layer, etc. The precision of the construction process is evident.

The Sino German Ecological Park began exploring the construction of ultra-low energy buildings in 2015, and in 2016, this ultra-low energy building was officially put into operation. After several years of operation monitoring, the energy consumption of this building remained basically between 400000-450000 degrees Celsius, which is one-third of that of ordinary public buildings. "The relevant person in charge of the Sino German Ecological Park introduced that electricity saving means carbon reduction. Compared to conventional buildings, ultra-low energy buildings can reduce 0.57 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions for every kilowatt hour of electricity saved.

Forest Kindergarten Building a "Zero Carbon Campus"

Based on the passive housing technology center, buildings supported by ultra-low energy consumption technology are now widely used in Sino German ecological parks.

Entering the Sino German Ecological Park Forest Kindergarten, the constant temperature environment allows children to learn and play comfortably. The project has a construction area of 4751.08 square meters and is the first passive ultra-low energy public kindergarten in Shandong Province. The room temperature in the kindergarten is stable at 22 ℃ -26 ℃ throughout the year, and the humidity is controlled at 40% -60%. The fresh air unit effectively filters harmful substances such as PM2.5 in the air, ensuring that children can learn and grow in a comfortable and healthy environment.

In order to meet the zero carbon building standards and requirements, the forest kindergarten project is designed and built according to the passive ultra-low energy consumption concept, based on the principle of "passive priority, active optimization", with the goal of promoting the three dimensional transformation of "low-carbon transformation, energy transformation, and Digital transformation". During the construction process, the project adopts insulation, no heat bridge design, airtightness, and efficient heat recovery fresh air system, reasonably utilizes air source heat pumps and solar photovoltaic renewable energy, as well as high standard design, construction, and management. It also utilizes intelligent automatic control systems and energy management platforms to achieve refined operation.

Moreover, the concept of environmental protection is deeply embedded in children's learning and life. The reporter saw that in the concentrated display of children's handmade creations, materials such as waste paper shells have become creative materials. The "Development and Practice Research of Green Ecological Garden Based Curriculum" initiated in Forest Kindergarten has also been selected as a research topic for the "14th Five Year Plan" of the China Preschool Education Research Association.

According to project operation data statistics, compared with the current energy-saving design standards for public buildings, the project has achieved an energy-saving rate of 84.5%, achieving an annual carbon reduction of 65 tons. The installed 33.0kWp photovoltaic power station has an annual power generation of approximately 35000 kilowatt hours, and an annual carbon reduction of approximately 9.5 tons.

Last year, at the 2022 carbon neutrality and Zero Carbon China Summit and the Fifth China Energy Investment International Forum held in Beijing, the Sino German Ecological Park Forest Kindergarten Project was awarded the "Zero Carbon Campus" in 2021, providing another typical demonstration for promoting energy transformation in the construction field and achieving the zero carbon goal.

Creating a landmark building with zero fossil energy consumption through the "Intelligent Green Tower"

Located in a large area south of Tuanjie Road in the Sino German Ecological Park, the construction pace is tense and orderly. In the future, this will become a new model for the construction of a low-carbon urban area.

In order to better promote the green and sustainable construction of the Sino German Ecological Park and the requirements for high-quality urban development, the development and construction of the Sino German Future City has been initiated. This highly anticipated future urban project comprehensively summarizes the experience of early urban construction and development in the park, and creates a high-quality urban construction 2.0 demonstration model for the future.

The total investment of the D1 and D2 clusters of the Sino German Future City is approximately 16.624 billion yuan, covering a total area of approximately 1798 acres and a total construction area of 1.489 million square meters. It is expected to be basically completed by 2024.

Here, passive housing technology will be 100% applied to build China's largest passive housing community. Energy saving technologies such as photovoltaic photothermal, high-performance exterior doors and windows, air source heat pumps, and efficient fresh air heat recovery systems will be adopted, reducing energy consumption by about 68% compared to traditional buildings. The total annual CO2 emission reduction is 45000 tons. Simultaneously constructing water-saving and low-carbon ecological residential areas, with a 100% recycling and utilization rate of domestic water.

In addition, convenient transportation, complete functional support, and diverse community life will enrich the exemplary demonstration and leading attributes of this area.

It is noteworthy that the Smart Green Tower project in the core area of the Sino German Future City is located in the Smart Energy Center of the D2 cluster of the Sino German Future City. It is the energy storage and intelligent energy control and display center of the D2 cluster. It will be designed as the world's largest new building certified by the German PHI Passive Housing Plus level, the first high-rise zero carbon building in cold regions in China, and the first high-rise civil building applying the "light storage direct flexible" technology in China, The "14th Five Year Plan" National Key Demonstration Project, the National Green Building Three Star Certification Project, and the National Near Zero and Ultra Low Energy Building Certification Project.

This project conducts research on various aspects of energy consumption, energy conservation, production capacity, and energy storage, and combines existing passive technology achievements to complete solutions for energy storage and production capacity. It combines passive building technology with DC microgrid technology to achieve multi-channel power generation, DC power supply, and the use of renewable energy. Through peak shaving and energy storage, it improves the economy and reliability of passive houses and creates a building that uses renewable energy The iconic building of the "Intelligent Green Tower" with zero fossil energy consumption.

Going out of Qingdao, Promoting a New Zero Carbon Model to the Whole Country

The carbon reduction of ultra-low energy buildings requires scale effect, and if we scale it out, the carbon reduction effect will be even better. "Han Fei, Deputy General Manager of Zhongde Ecological Park Passive Housing Construction Technology Co., Ltd., said that the target period of" carbon peak "is coming, and the energy-saving transformation and improvement of new buildings are being addressed. Ultralow energy buildings are not the only but a good technical path.

It is reported that the passive technology of ultra-low energy buildings has complete element requirements: it requires highly efficient and complete external insulation; Using passive doors and windows; Has very high building airtightness, and the building does not leak air from the wind; Design and construction of heatless bridges in buildings; Fresh air system with heat recovery.

Fortunately, both the formulation of industry standards and the surrounding industries driven by industry development have made significant progress. At the beginning of the construction of this ultra-low energy building, only a few companies in China were able to make passive curtain walls, doors, and windows, which not only had low selectivity but also brought high prices. With the development of the passive housing industry in the Sino German Ecological Park, a group of enterprises have been driven to upgrade and innovate their product quality. The products have a great choice in terms of materials and prices. When we first started making passive houses, there were almost no manufacturers that met the requirements. Currently, there are at least 100 related enterprises in Shandong Province, and no less than 10 enterprises in Qingdao that are involved in passive house doors and windows have contacted us. "Han Fei said that with the accumulation in the early stage, the China Germany Ecological Park will continue to vigorously develop ultra-low energy buildings in the next step, not only promoting passive houses in Qingdao, but also entering the national market. At present, projects of the Sino German Ecological Park have been successively implemented in Tianjin, Anhui and other places, and the zero carbon new path for ultra-low energy building construction will also be promoted
