On May 28, the 2023 carbon neutrality and zero carbon China Summit and the 6th China Energy International Investment Forum, hosted by Beijing Changping District People's Government, the Energy Investment Professional Committee of China Investment Association, and the Beijing Future Science City Management Committee, and organized by Beijing Changping District Investment Promotion Service Center and Beijing Future Science City Development Group Co., Ltd., were successfully held in Beijing Changping Future Science City.

Wang Dapeng, Deputy Director of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, stated that China's renewable energy has stood at a new historical starting point, and the "14th Five Year Plan" period will present new characteristics of large-scale, high proportion, market-oriented, and high-quality development.

Zhang Yonggui, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Investment Association, stated that in the past three years, the Energy Investment Professional Committee of the China Investment Association, as the unit promoting the implementation of the zero carbon China initiative, has conducted a lot of accumulated work in research topics, standard formulation, project promotion, and other aspects.

This summit has released six evaluation standards for "Zero Carbon China", namely "General Principles for Evaluation Standards of" Zero Carbon China "," Evaluation Standards for Zero Carbon Parks "," Evaluation Standards for Zero Carbon Factories "," Evaluation Standards for Zero Carbon Data Centers "," ESG Evaluation Standards for Energy Enterprises ", and" ESG Information Disclosure Standards for Energy Enterprises ".

Among them, in response to the General Principles of Evaluation Standards for "Zero Carbon China", Secretary General Zhang Jie explained that the evaluation standards for "Zero Carbon China" are created around various specific zero carbon application scenarios under the "Zero Carbon China" initiative, consisting of basic common standards and specific evaluation standards, which play an important role in improving the unity of action and social influence of the "Zero Carbon China" initiative.

In order to deeply explore the theory and practice of urban green transformation development under the "dual carbon" goal, actively explore the models and paths of urban green transformation, and provide reference for promoting the modernization of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, industry experts have delivered wonderful keynote speeches from their respective fields.

Du Xiangwan, an academician of the CAE Member and former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Reflections on China's carbon neutrality strategy and path to achieve carbon peak", and proposed eight strategies to achieve the "double carbon" goal: the strategy of saving and improving efficiency first, the strategy of energy security, the strategy of non fossil energy substitution, the strategy of re electrification, the strategy of resource recycling, the strategy of carbon sequestration, the digital strategy, and the strategy of international cooperation.
