On May 28, the 2023 carbon neutrality and zero carbon China Summit and the 6th China Energy International Investment Forum were held in the Science City of the Future. This summit revolves around the development of zero carbon cities, with the theme of "building a zero carbon smart city through 'green+digital'", exploring effective paths to build a zero carbon ecosystem. The first batch of evaluation standards for "zero carbon China" were also officially released at the summit.

Three years ago, more than 50 industry organizations launched the Zero Carbon China Initiative, which aims to help achieve the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", takes high-quality development as the principle, green investment as the means, advocates the concept of green development, promotes energy transformation, and creates a series of zero carbon or near zero carbon demonstration projects around the transformation and upgrading of the three industries of "zero carbon energy source", "zero carbon transportation" and "zero carbon building".

It is reported that zero carbon China has gone from initiative to action, from action to system construction, and has collaborated with relevant entities in the zero carbon industry in key cooperative cities such as Changping, Tongliao, Zhangye, Dali, and Rudong, focusing on the construction of the "five major systems of zero carbon China standards, technology, industry, investment, and talent". This summit has released six evaluation standards for "Zero Carbon China", namely "General Principles for Evaluation Standards of" Zero Carbon China "and" Evaluation Standards for Zero Carbon Parks "," Evaluation Standards for Zero Carbon Factories "," Evaluation Standards for Zero Carbon Data Centers "," ESG Evaluation Standards for Energy Enterprises ", and" ESG Information Disclosure Standards for Energy Enterprises ". At this summit, 2023 zero carbon technology solutions and excellent cases were also released.
