As of the end of 2022, the accumulated energy-saving building area in China has exceeded 30.3 billion square meters, with energy-saving buildings accounting for over 64% of the urban civil building area; The cumulative green building area built in China exceeds 10 billion square meters, and the proportion of newly built green buildings in urban areas reached about 90% in 2022.

In recent years, under the background of "dual carbon", green buildings have accelerated their promotion and construction in various regions. Data shows that as of the end of 2022, the cumulative energy-saving building area in China has exceeded 30.3 billion square meters, with energy-saving buildings accounting for over 64% of the urban civil building area; The cumulative green building area built in China exceeds 10 billion square meters, and the proportion of newly built green buildings in urban areas reached about 90% in 2022.

China's carbon emissions from the entire construction process account for more than 50% of the country's carbon emissions. The real estate and related industries have great potential for energy conservation and emission reduction, and there is a long way to go. Recently, Yang Weijiang, Deputy Secretary General of the China Real Estate Industry Association, stated at the 2023 Carbon Neutrality Summit Forum and the Fourth Clean Heat Energy Industry Development Conference that a large number of enterprises have started a green and low-carbon transformation, using green materials as a framework in design and construction, By integrating green construction technology and new energy technology, we aim to achieve the greening of buildings. In terms of operation, digital computing and monitoring platforms are used as support to promote the development of green properties and green ecology. By introducing green ecological culture and low-carbon lifestyle, we aim to create a green ecological atmosphere and achieve sustainable social co construction and sharing of energy conservation, emission reduction, and green environmental protection.

Zhang Xinyu, Director of the Solar Energy Application Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Building Sciences, believes that under the "dual carbon" goal, the construction industry, as a major carbon emitter, is accelerating its transformation speed and continuously increasing the proportion of renewable energy used in buildings. As an alternative to combustion heating and a way to achieve power heat conversion, air, like photothermal and photovoltaic technologies, is a supporting technology for achieving carbon neutrality and has broad development space.

The Action Plan for Carbon Peak by 2030 clearly proposes to actively promote clean heating in severe cold and cold regions, promote Cogeneration central heating, accelerate the large-scale application of industrial waste heat heating, actively and steadily carry out nuclear heating demonstration, and implement clean low-carbon heating such as heat pump, biomass energy, Geothermal energy, solar energy, etc. according to local conditions.

The 14th Five Year Plan for Building Energy Conservation and Green Building Development also proposes to strengthen the utilization of renewable energy such as Geothermal energy. Promote the application of Geothermal energy, air thermal energy, biomass energy, etc. to meet the energy demand for building heating, domestic hot water, cooking, etc.

Chen Ronghua, president of Clean Heating Branch of China Building Metal Structure Association and president of Sunshower Group, said that under the goal of "double carbon", green low-carbon is the most determined development track in China's future. Enterprises should increase their investment in manufacturing heavy assets, research and development heavy resources, and market heavy capital on the air energy track, and launch one-stop, comprehensive low-carbon system solutions for various industries, businesses, communities, and parks.

It is reported that the principle of a heat pump is to force a low-temperature heat source to be converted into a high-temperature heat source through equipment such as a compressor. By consuming only a small amount of electricity, a large amount of heat can be obtained. At present, air heating is being promoted and applied in Jilin Province, Guangdong, Shanxi and other places. This type of air can be heated by a heat pump, which compresses air and absorbs heat from the air to generate heat.

Compared to other heat source heat pumps, air source heat pumps have a wider range of applications, lower operating costs, and are characterized by energy efficiency, environmental protection, simple installation, adaptability to harsh environments, strong stability, and long service life, "said Jing Huaqian, Executive Director and Deputy Secretary General of the China Refrigeration Society.
