On the morning of July 11th, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development held the launch ceremony of the 2023 Provincial Energy Conservation Promotion Month in Nanhai, Foshan, in order to conscientiously implement the national and provincial work deployment for the 2023 Energy Conservation Week, improve the level of green and low-carbon development in buildings, and promote the formation of green production and lifestyle in society. This year's Energy Conservation Promotion Month focuses on the theme of "Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction, Walking with Us". Through lectures, special discussions, and work exchanges, it conveys the concept of green and low-carbon, and deploys and implements new requirements, tasks, and goals for building energy conservation and green building development in the next stage of the province. At the launch ceremony, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development released pilot projects such as ultra-low energy consumption buildings and prefabricated decoration in Guangdong Province, issued the "Green Technology Guidelines for Rural Housing Construction in Guangdong Province", announced the launch of the Guangdong Green Building Materials Credit Application Database, and launched the first Guangdong Province Prefabricated Rural Housing Design Competition on site. A series of "actions" to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction in urban and rural construction have brought the atmosphere of the launch ceremony to a climax, while also fully demonstrating the attitude and determination of our province in the field of urban and rural construction to promote the achievement of the national dual carbon strategy goals.

In recent years, our province has actively explored the mode of energy-saving and low-carbon construction, carried out a series of pilot projects such as ultra-low energy consumption, (near) zero energy consumption buildings, Zero-energy building and building energy-saving renovation, and determined that seven projects under construction, including new urban construction demonstration and intelligent building industrial park (phase I) projects 1-1A and 1-2 buildings, are pilot projects such as ultra-low energy consumption and near zero energy consumption buildings, 17 completed projects, including the first phase (Lingshan Island Peak) bus station in the starting area of Mingzhu Bay Area in Nansha New Area, have been included in the list of typical case studies. Actively promoted the development of prefabricated decoration, carried out the creation of provincial prefabricated decoration pilot projects, identified 23 projects such as Zengcheng School Project of Affiliated High School of South China Normal University as Guangdong Province prefabricated decoration pilot projects, and explored and formed a batch of experience and practices that can be promoted and replicated. Vigorously promote green and low-carbon building materials and green construction methods, guide Foshan City, one of the pilot cities for promoting building quality through green building materials nationwide in our province, to expand the promotion and application of green building materials, and upgrade the municipal green building materials product catalog platform to the Guangdong Province Green Building Materials Credit Application Database.

In this year's energy-saving promotion month activity, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development has increased efforts to propose multiple new measures to promote the construction of green rural houses. The "Green Technical Guidelines for Rural Housing Construction in Guangdong Province" issued at the event site, fully combining the characteristics of the three major ethnic groups in Guangdong Province, namely Guangfu, Chaoshan, and Hakka, innovatively proposed a green rural housing grading system that is suitable for Guangdong Province and easy to operate, and provided specific technical examples of green rural housing for the three major ethnic groups. The first Guangdong Prefabricated Rural Housing Design Contest launched on the day of the event requires that the entries should combine the relevant technical requirements of Prefabricated building and the characteristics of rural housing construction in our province, integrate green and low-carbon concepts and regional characteristics, form a batch of rural housing atlases that are suitable for the characteristics of rural construction in Guangdong Province, meet the needs of farmers, and are green and energy-saving, and select the most popular excellent models for factory production, standardized construction Creating conditions for large-scale application and assisting in the construction of "Green and Beautiful Guangdong" and the implementation of the "High quality Development Project for Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns, and Ten Thousand Villages" with high standards.

In order to further create an atmosphere of energy conservation and carbon reduction in the field of construction, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development also organized relevant business leaders of local and municipal housing and urban construction bureaus and representatives of relevant industry associations to observe the Prefabricated building and green building materials application project "Vanke Puyueshan", and the zero energy consumption building "Guangdong Shenling Environmental High tech Zone Intelligent Manufacturing Base Research and Development Building" on the spot, to display the green, low-carbon and high-quality development achievements in the field of construction in our province, Promote the consensus among various industries and the whole society to accelerate the development of green buildings and promote building energy efficiency.
