At present, China's building energy efficiency standard system is complete and has the conditions for large-scale promotion of ultra-low/near zero energy consumption buildings. Considering that the total energy consumption of China's building operation will continue to increase, stronger energy-saving and emission reduction measures should be taken immediately.


Xu Wei believes that architecture is an important carrier for economic transformation, economic development, and the improvement of people's living standards, as well as an important department for achieving the dual carbon strategy. Calculating the total carbon emissions from building operations involves multiple factors such as building area, energy intensity, proportion of fossil fuels, energy emission factors, and carbon sinks. Setting aside external factors, the internal factors that affect building operation carbon emissions include building energy-saving technology, building heating electrification, equipment efficiency, building non heating electrification, and renewable energy utilization.


One of the key tasks of reducing building energy intensity is to improve the quality and efficiency of new buildings, existing buildings and rural buildings. Specifically for residential buildings, Xu Wei believes that increasing energy efficiency in air conditioning is to reduce energy consumption, and building energy efficiency is the top priority for improving quality and efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to use more efficient products and equipment. For over a hundred years, air conditioning technology has been continuously improving and products have been iterating. The variable flow technology released by Haier Air Conditioning today takes into account both summer cooling and winter heating, and the intermediate conversion also considers how to achieve optimal energy efficiency. The pursuit is to improve energy efficiency and dynamic efficiency, in line with the mandatory standards for building energy conservation, which require the use of more energy-efficient energy-saving products and equipment.
