Zero Carbon Conference! The Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Sustainable Built Environment 2023 was held in Shenzhen

Recently, the Asia-Pacific Conference on Sustainable Built Environment 2023 (SBE23 Asia-Pacific) was held in Shenzhen. During the conference, Aoyi Construction Engineering Design Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Yuezhong Green Building Technology Development Co., Ltd. jointly organized the Green Building Promotion Carbon neutral sub-forum to achieve zero carbon, and Shenzhen Emission Rights Exchange issued carbon neutral certificates during the forum.

The conference is hosted by Shenzhen Municipal Government, Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau, Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shenzhen Longgang District Government, Shenzhen Green Building Association as the executive unit.

Adhering to the concept of "green, low-carbon and efficient", the organizing committee of the Forum helps the Forum to achieve carbon neutrality by encouraging green transportation, electronic conference affairs and simplifying conference procedures. This is a vivid manifestation of the positive actions taken by Aoyi Construction and YuezhongGreen Construction as green and low-carbon service enterprises to cope with climate change and fulfill their social responsibilities, which is of great demonstration and promotion significance. The 751.52kgCO2e greenhouse gas generated by the Forum is offset by the use of certified emission reductions (cers) generated by the Daan Haitao Wind Farm Phase II project (CDM Project No. 7495) with an offset of 1tCO2e to achieve carbon neutrality.

According to Wei Jiuyue and Chen Chao, leaders of the forum, the forum invited guests from Germany, Singapore and other countries and organizations, Leaders, experts and scholars from China Urban Science Association, Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau, Shekou, South China University of Technology, Shenzhen University, Guangxi Association of Construction Technology and Building Energy Efficiency, China Electronic Institute of Aoyi Architecture, Yuehong Green Construction, Deloitte and other government departments, industry associations, universities, development and design enterprises, audit and consulting institutions will jointly discuss the green building and carbon neutrality project Target mutual promotion and development path. The content of the forum highlighted the characteristics of cross-border integration, and conducted extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on the green building industry, ESG and enterprise sustainable development, carbon neutral policy research, zero carbon technology innovation and engineering practice experience, and education innovation.

The main venue of the conference released the "Shenzhen Initiative of the Global Sustainable Built Environment Asia-Pacific Conference". Based on the "Development of green buildings", all the participants proposed five initiatives, including "Creating a healthy and livable living environment", "Building a net-zero city", "Accelerating the integration and innovation of green technologies", "promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature" and "promoting the" Net-zero Earth "movement".
