Changchun Building Waterproofing, Building Energy Efficiency, and Green Development Summit Forum Held

On the afternoon of September 16th, the Changchun Building Waterproofing, Building Energy Efficiency, and Green Development Summit Forum was held at the Runde Building in Changchun, aiming to further standardize the order of the green building materials market, promote the new application of new processes, technologies, and materials in the construction industry, and promote the healthy development of green buildings and green building materials.

It is understood that this forum is hosted by Changchun Wall Materials Center and Changchun Runde Group, organized by Changchun Green Building Materials and Building Industry Modernization Association, and co organized by Jilin Building Waterproof Association, Jilin Building Energy Conservation Association, Jilin Construction Engineering Quality Supervision and Testing Association, Jilin Wall Materials Innovation and Building Energy Conservation Association, Changchun Survey and Design Association, and Changchun Prefabricated Building Industry Association. Li Weixing, Vice President and Secretary General of the Changchun Green Building Materials and Construction Industry Modernization Association, presided over this forum.

The forum invited Zhu Zhilong, Director of the Survey and Design Department of the Changchun Construction Commission, Meng Qingyu, Deputy Director of the Construction Management Department of the Changchun Construction Commission, Zheng Jian, Director of the Changchun Wall Materials Center and Director of the Changchun Old City Reconstruction Office, Chen Xiaolin, General Manager of Changchun Runde Group and President of the Changchun Green Building Materials and Construction Industry Modernization Association, as well as experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives in the field of building energy conservation from the Changchun Construction Commission. In addition, leaders and experts from nearly 40 well-known architectural design units and nearly 20 well-known testing institutions in Jilin Province were also invited to attend the meeting.

At the forum, Chen Xiaolin stated that in the current context of carbon peaking, the construction sector has become one of the key areas for implementing energy conservation and carbon reduction. He advocates the establishment of a "Green Building Materials Product Directory" and expects relevant enterprises to prioritize green certified building materials products. This initiative has received positive responses from various governing units and related enterprises of the association.

Zheng Jian stated that in recent years, green development has become a national strategy. In order to promote the development of green buildings and expand the application of green building materials, the Changchun Municipal Government has introduced a series of measures. He looks forward to the widespread application of building energy conservation and new wall material technology through the explanations of national experts at this forum, gathering the strength of numerous experts and industries to promote technological innovation. At the same time, he also encourages various enterprise units to seek development directions from partners, explore transformation and upgrading, and contribute to the further formation of a building energy conservation ecosystem.

On site, participating experts discussed the application of building energy efficiency and new wall material technology through explanation and sharing of excellent cases, as well as how to improve building energy efficiency, promote building energy conservation and carbon reduction, and help the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the construction industry. Gong An, the president of the Jilin Provincial Building Waterproof Association, interpreted the "General Specification for Waterproofing of Buildings and Municipal Engineering" (GB 55030-2022) and discussed the overall solution for building waterproofing in the northern region; Professor Gai Guangqing from Jilin University of Architecture explained the exploration of energy-saving wall materials and technologies in buildings; Wang Wei, Senior Engineer of the Chinese Academy of Building Sciences and Director of the Green Building Materials Evaluation Center of the National Academy of Building Research, provided a detailed analysis of green building materials and green certification. They unanimously believe that new wall material technology is of great significance for improving building energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and reducing carbon emissions. In addition, the experts also shared the problems and solutions they encountered in practice, providing valuable experience and reference for other enterprises and institutions.

The successful holding of this forum provides important ideas and directions for promoting the healthy development of building waterproofing, building energy efficiency, and green buildings in Changchun.
