Green building materials refer to building materials that reduce the consumption of natural resources and the impact on the ecological environment in the whole life cycle, and have the characteristics of energy saving, emission reduction, safety, convenience and recycling. With the peak of carbon and the steady advancement of carbon neutrality, the green transformation of the building materials construction industry has attracted much attention.

In recent years, our city has actively implemented the "double carbon" strategy, accelerated industrial transformation and upgrading, dug deep into the "green content" of building materials and home industry, enhanced the "gold content" of development, seized the "new track" of green transformation, guided enterprises to green production and green production, and currently the city has obtained 61 green building materials product certification enterprises and 134 certificates (more than 180 certificates in the province). Covering cement, ready-mixed concrete (mortar), ceramic tiles, stone, water heating kitchen and bath, rattan iron home, paint and other subdivisions. At the same time, actively held green building materials into the construction site, into villages, parks and other market expansion, promotion of application and promotion activities, the proportion of green buildings in the city increased from 8.2% in 2016 to 95.0% in 2022.

It is worth mentioning that in the promotion of new building materials, our city has increased the promotion of ready-mixed mortar, and the number of enterprises, output and usage are the first in the province; In the first half of this year, the province used 736,800 tons of ready-mixed mortar, and Quanzhou 425,000 tons, accounting for 57.68%. At the same time, vigorously cooperate with the promotion of construction industrialization, at present, the city has obtained provincial certification of precast concrete component enterprises 7, production capacity of 600,000 cubic meters, industrial construction area of 12.81 million square meters, the number of industrial bases, industrial construction area in the province's leading level.
