Green standards for indoor snow resorts released in Beijing

Recently, the ski industry operation service provider Hot snow Miracle and the British Institute of Architecture (hereinafter referred to as "BRE") jointly organized the global indoor snow and ice green building standards seminar and the Green Snow and Ice Alliance Initiative launch ceremony was held in Beijing.

At the meeting, the BREEAM for Bonski standard, a green standard for indoor ski resort compiled after two years, was officially released, and the certification ceremony of Xi 'an and Zhengding Hot Snow Miracle indoor ski resort was launched. At the same time, the Green Ice and Snow Alliance initiative was also officially launched, and all parties said that they will practice the concept of sustainable development and help the green practice of China's ice and snow industry.

According to the latest data, according to the size of the snow area, the world's top 10 indoor ski resorts, the hot snow miracle occupies 4 seats and takes the top 3. Hot Snow Miracle has been actively practicing the concept of green development, and on the basis of meeting the functional attributes of indoor snow resort, maximize the protection and comfort of skiing site. At present, hot Snow Miracle has opened and operated 8 indoor projects all obtained the domestic green label certification.

In recent years, BRE has actively promoted sustainable development in the construction industry. BREEAM is the world's first and most widely used green building evaluation standard. BREEAM Bespoke is an evaluation standard suitable for the project developed based on strict investigation of local ecological environment, building materials, culture, construction norms, building laws and regulations, infrastructure, historical correlation and other factors. The score weights and technical indicators are adjusted according to the actual situation of the project. And promote the sustainable benefits of the project according to local conditions.

It is reported that based on the recognition of the concept of green development by both sides, in 2021, Hot Snow Miracle and BRE will carry out strategic cooperation on the establishment of the green standard of BREEAM indoor snow resort. After two years of in-depth exchanges and discussions, BREEAM for Bonski standard was officially announced and Xi 'an and Zhengding Hot Snow Miracle project was certified. According to the special needs of indoor snow resorts provided by Hot Snow Miracle and China Academy of Building Research, the standard systematically sorts out 9 categories, 59 sub-categories and more than 900 sub-standards, protecting the safety and health of facility end customers from the details of flow line design, air quality and comfort, while combining passenger flow and demand services. From the safety measures adopted in the stadium, air insulation, transmission facilities and other links to enhance the safety of tourists and enhance the sense of visitor experience.

The release of BREEAM for Bonski standard fills the gap in the construction standard of indoor snow resort, and will further promote the upgrading of the operation concept of indoor snow resort and help the landing of green snow and ice. According to reports, the hot snow miracle with energy consumption side, energy supply side two main lines, from the design, construction, operation of 3 stages, around the refrigeration snow making process, photovoltaic power generation and energy storage, form optimization, building information, smart operation platform and other 14 aspects of the practice of green energy saving. In addition to the Xi 'an and Zhengding projects that have opened the BREEAM for Bonski certification, in the future, all new indoor snow resorts under Hot Snow Miracle will be customized according to this standard.

In addition, the Green Ice and Snow Alliance jointly initiated by Hot Snow Miracle, BRE, China Academy of Building Science and upstream and downstream partners of the snow and ice industry chain was also formally established, with the aim of hoping to replicate and promote the innovative practice results of green snow and ice in a wider range.
