The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other 10 departments recently jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the High-quality Development of Green Building Materials Industry", focusing on improving the endogenous strength, influence, growth and support of the whole green building materials industry chain, and launching a series of measures to promote the high-quality development of green building materials industry. The "implementation plan" proposes that by 2026, the annual operating income of green building materials will exceed 300 billion yuan, and the annual growth rate will be more than 10% from 2024 to 26 years.

In recent years, China's green building materials production scale continues to expand, quality and efficiency continue to improve, and promotion and application continue to strengthen, and gradually become a new driving force supporting the development of building materials industry. In 2023, the business income of green building materials is expected to exceed 200 billion yuan, an increase of about 10%. There are more than 100 industrial parks or gathering areas with building sanitary ceramics, new building materials and stone as the main business across the country, and nine national demonstration bases for new industrialization of green building materials have been cultivated. The number of pilot provinces for green building materials to the countryside reached 12, and the number of cities where the government procured support for green building materials to promote building quality improvement policies reached 48. Green building materials evaluation standards have been formulated for 58 kinds of products such as building doors and Windows, sanitary ware and waterproof materials, and the total number of green building materials certification certificates has exceeded 9,500 by the end of 2023.

"The development potential of green building materials industry is huge, but it still faces problems such as supply capacity to be improved, social influence and mass recognition is not high enough, project selection and market consumption power is insufficient."
