The completed area of green buildings in Qinhuangdao, Hebei accounted for 100% of the completed area of new buildings for four consecutive years

Recently, it was learned from the Qinhuangdao Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau that the completed area of new buildings in Qinhuangdao in 2023 will be 3.8614 million square meters, and the proportion of green building area has reached 100% for four consecutive years. In 2023, Qinhuangdao's experience in developing green buildings will be promoted in the province as an excellent case.

Green buildings refer to high-quality buildings that save resources, protect the environment, reduce pollution, provide people with healthy, applicable and efficient use space, and maximize the harmonious coexistence between man and nature during the whole life period.

Compared with traditional buildings, the construction cost of green buildings is higher. In order to mobilize the enthusiasm of enterprises and encourage the construction of projects with high standards, Qinhuangdao City has continuously increased policy incentives and financial subsidies, and implemented support policies such as "plot ratio incentives" for new buildings that meet the conditions. At the same time, through government guidance and policy support, Qinhuangdao has cultivated and developed a number of leading enterprises covering real estate development, design, parts production and assembly construction, scientifically planned the development layout of green building industry, and promoted the development of green building enterprises in the upper, middle and lower reaches to achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase.

In the supervision of industrial development, Qinhuangdao City has grasped the five key links of planning, design, construction, acceptance and operation, implemented the main responsibilities of project construction, design, construction and supervision, and strengthened the supervision services of engineering construction. Organize the "double random" inspection of the city in spring and autumn every year, and deeply analyze the causes of the problems found in the inspection while strictly implementing the rectification and formulating practical measures to avoid homogeneous problems.

To promote the development of green building industry with higher standards, in 2023, a number of passive ultra-low energy building projects in Qinhuangdao will be completed. Among them, the Qinhuangdao Tengyue Education Industrial Park project in Beidaihe New District is the first passive ultra-low energy education industrial park project in China; Shanhaiguan Museum of the Great Wall of China is the province's first zero-energy three-star green smart building.

"In 2023, our city will start five new passive ultra-low energy projects, totaling 205,000 square meters, exceeding the provincial target task." Liu Lei, deputy director of the Qinhuangdao Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, said that up to now, Qinhuangdao has built 28 passive ultra-low energy projects with a total construction area of 936,000 square meters, covering residential, office, school, museum, hotel and other architectural scenes.
